MMP TriMed Medical Billing Software


MMP TriMed’s billing software is a "time tested and proven" medical billing and accounts receivable package. New refinements are released on a quarterly basis to assure that it complies with new billing regulations and to keep you abreast of the most current billing methodologies. MMP TriMed Document Imaging Software
An integrated document imaging system that works in conjunction with the medical billing software. All billing and payment source documents i.e. dictated reports, check vouchers, eob’s, patient checks, etc. can be scanned and stored for easy retrieval. No more off-site storage or lost documents!

MMP TriMed Batch Control Software
A product that allows larger, assembly line type operations, to track and account for batches of work prior to their entry into the computer system. This allows for increased departmental and employee productivity reporting and benchmarking.

Hardware


MMP TriMed’s IBM Certified sales and technical personnel can assist you in determining and installing the correct hardware configuration for your practice.

Computer System
TriMed currently recommends the IBM RS-6000 departmental servers for most operations. The operating system is AIX (IBM’s version of Unix). This hardware is easily incorporated into PC networks and allows maximum flexibility with respect to utilization of peripheral equipment. 4mm tape drives for convenient unattended or night-time system back-up.

ASCII Terminals An inexpensive option for staff members not requiring PC’s.

Personal Computers to provide access to the billing system, advanced features and functions, and document imaging viewing capabilities.

Battery Backup to protect the system and your data in case of power fluctuations.

Laser Printers to print itemized statements, imaged documents and various on demand reports.

IBM 6400 Line Printer for high demand printing.

Small dot matrix printer for on demand HCFA-1500 forms or exit receipts.

Modem for dial in service from MMP TriMed, electronic claims submission and remittance.

Installation & Training


System installation will be scheduled at a convenient time for your billing staff— normally after business hours or over a weekend. A brief overview of the process is as follows:

Cabling MMP TriMed will instruct and reimburse a local electrician or phone person to cable your office

Equipment Pre-Test MMP TriMed will assemble and test all system components prior to delivery to your office.

Delivery & Installation MMP TriMed will deliver and install all equipment in your office.

Post Installation Test MMP TriMed technical employees will remain on-site with our trainers to verify proper equipment operation.

Installation will be scheduled at a convenient time for your billing staff— normally after business hours or over a weekend.

Training Before system installation, your billing manager and other designated personnel will attend classes at our location covering system administration and medical billing file setup. After which, your system will be installed and we will customize 20 days of on-site training and follow up visits. During the interim times, our trainers and support personnel are always available via our toll-free support lines.

Maintenence Programs


MMP TriMed Software Maintenance
MMP TriMed provides ongoing software maintenance, which consists of dial in service and a toll free lines directly to our programmers.

Automatic Updates
TriMed’s software is modified regularly and you are entitled to "automatic updates" as new revisions are produced. Historically, we have released these updates on a quarterly basis.

Hardware Maintenance
IBM provides Hardware maintenance services. MMP TriMed will arrange for these services on your behalf and provide front-end "help desk" services. This means that if you have a problem, you just call MMP TriMed’s toll-free support number. We will diagnose the problem and dispatch IBM Field Engineers if necessary. This takes you out of the middle and places sole responsibility for problem resolution on MMP TriMed and IBM.

Other Services


Custom Programming services can be purchased at MMP TriMed’s current rates.

Interfaces MMP TriMed can provide programming necessary to communicate with your hospitals. This presumes that your hospital will provide demographic data via phone dial up, PC diskette, or internet file transfer.

Additional Training can be purchased at MMP TriMed’s current rates.

Electronic Laser Statements and Audit Letters MMP TriMed’s system will automatically dial up your system nightly after your runs and download your statement file for printing. MMP TriMed’s laser center then prints, prepares and mails all statements for you. This is an additional service and is not included in the system purchase. Please contact MMP TriMed for further information about this service or pricing.

NEIC Claims Processing MMP TriMed has negotiated a special discounted rate for the processing of NEIC claims. As a user of a MMP TriMed System, you can also receive this discounted rate. Talk to your MMP TriMed representative for further information.
